Building the church of tomorrow 

It has been inspiring to share conversation, hear stories, and learn together as a church family, through 2023, how to play our part in the church of tomorrow that Jesus is building in and through us. In 2024 we are continuing this work and are excited to see all that the Holy Spirit will do in and through us as we learn together.

From January to March 2024 we will look specifically at how we can build on our growing confidence in the gospel. We will explore the specific practical things that we need to do to be a church that communicates the gospel in response to the leading of the Holy Spirit. We will look at how prioritising prayer and holiness can shape and direct the way we are the church God is calling us to be. The plan for the term is outlined below. We will be exploring these areas in our Weekly Gatherings, Small Communities and at our Leadership Hub.

a community with a shared purpose | 7th - 20th January 2024

... you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. Acts 1:8

a community that prioritises prayer | 21st January - 2nd March 2024

This, then, is how you should pray: “ ‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. ... Matthew 6:9-10

a community that is holy | 3rd March - 30th March 2024

But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy. 1 Peter 1:15-16
