Building the church of tomorrow 

 
We're excited about the direction the Holy Spirit is leading us as a Church. We are learning how to play our part in the church of tomorrow that Jesus is building in and through us.

Over the coming months we will look specifically at how we can be the church God is calling us to be. We will explore the specific practical things that we need to do to be that church. We will look at how each of the biblical principles we explored last term can shape and direct the way we are the church God is calling us to be. The plan for the term is outlined below. We will be exploring these areas in our Weekly Gatherings, Small Communities and at our Leadership Hub.

A community where Jesus is Lord | 10th - 23rd September

Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Hebrews 10:23-24

A community of disciples | 24th September - 14th October

So speak encouraging words to one another. Build up hope so you'll all be together in this, no one left out, no one left behind. I know you're already doing this; just keep on doing it. 1 Thessalonians 5:11

A community dependent upon the Holy Spirit | 15th October - 11th November

All over the country—Judea, Samaria, Galilee—the church grew. They were permeated with a deep sense of reverence for God. The Holy Spirit was with them, strengthening them. They prospered wonderfully. Acts 9:31

A community that is confident in the gospel | 12th November - 9th December

Through thick and thin, keep your hearts at attention, in adoration before Christ, your Master. Be ready to speak up and tell anyone who asks why you're living the way you are, and always with the utmost courtesy. 1 Peter 3:15
