For more information on planning a church wedding, please visit the Church of England website here or look at our booklet on planning a wedding at Christ Church.
For any other queries, please contact Helena Whitwell.
Please note: The church is very busy in the lead up to Christmas so we tend to avoid weddings in December, and we do not offer the church building for wedding receptions.
Banns of Marriage
If you live in our parish and are getting married elsewhere, you will need your banns to be read in Christ Church. To find out if you live in our parish, please enter your postcode here. Please contact the church office at least 6 months before your wedding date to arrange for your banns to be read.
We encourage all couples getting married (whether in our church or elsewhere) to take a Marriage Preparation Course. Please contact the church office for details of our next course.
