Worship Gatherings

Each of our Worship Gatherings offers space to pursue the presence of Jesus.

We have three Gatherings each Sunday; 8am, 10am and 5pm. On Wednesdays we have a one hour gathering at 11am.  We enjoy refreshments together after each gathering, and would love for you to join us.

Sundays

	Sundays begin at 8am with a contemplative Gathering with holy communion designed to enable God to meet and speak with us through liturgy, teaching from God’s Word, stillness and music. The Gathering lasts about 45 minutes and refreshments are served afterwards.
	Our main morning Gathering begins at 10am and is a lively, informal Gathering for people at every stage of life and faith, with separate groups for children and young people (aged from 18 months to 14 years), and with sung worship led by a band, organ and singers. We place a high value on relevant teaching from the Bible and for space for encounter with God, including prayer ministry. The Gathering lasts about 90 minutes and refreshments are served both before and afterwards.  We aim to include communion once a month at various points within our time together.   During the school holidays we have shorter all-age Gatherings with teaching and worship suitable for everyone - check the calendar for more details.
	Our evening Gathering at 5pm is our most informal and offers more time and space to pursue the presence of Jesus in sung worship, led by a band, relevant teaching from the Bible and response, including prayer ministry. The Gathering lasts about 100 minutes and refreshments are served afterwards

 

Midweek

Our 11am midweek Gathering each Wednesday morning is more traditional yet still very friendly feel with liturgy and sung worship led from the organ or piano. The Gathering lasts about an hour and refreshments are served afterwards.

Why Gatherings?

We call our collective worship "Gatherings" rather than "Services", as it sets what we do on Sundays and Wednesdays within the context of our lives over the rest of the week. As a church family, we gather in all sorts of ways – small groups, ministry teams, prayer meetings: "church" is the way we live, not simply what happens on one day out of seven.

Our primary desire is to create healthy spaces for people to meet with Jesus – and each other. Each of our four weekly Gatherings has a slightly different feel, as we recognize that different people meet with him in different ways. Each Gathering’s title tells you the time it starts!
