Easter at Christ Church

Easter at Christ Church

Easter is coming, so here are the details of our special services and events for holy week and Easter day:

Maundy Thursday, 13th April

  • 7:30pm - A chance to begin the Journey to Easter with poetry, prose, art and contemplation (including Holy Communion)

Good Friday, 14th April

  • 10am-11am - Focus on the Cross: A gathering aimed at Primary age children and their families, to think and wonder about what happened to Jesus on that day. Drawing, craft, prayer, videos, music and more! Bring friends, all welcome.

  • 1pm-3pm - At the Cross of Jesus: Four 30-minute meditations in words and music on the cross: come for as long or as short a time as suits.

Easter Saturday, 15th April

  • 10am-12pm - Church Out - Blessing our Parish: An opportunity for us as a whole church (from the youngest to the oldest) to bless the people who live and work in our community by giving out free Easter Eggs. Meet at church for a 10am briefing.

Easter Day, 16th April

  • Celebration Gatherings at 8am, 10am and 5pm
