Christmas Is Coming

Christmas at Christ Church

outdoor board 2016

Our first Christmas Services are just over a week away and on Monday night from 7:30pm we will be prayer walking and delivering Christmas Invitations around the parish. Do come along if you can (we are meeting in the church foyer), but if you can’t make it there will be bundles of invitations available in church this Sunday, so please take a bundle and deliver them to a local street some time this week.

Over the next couple of weeks we will be Tweeting information about our services and sharing details on Facebook. Please do re-tweet or share these posts on your personal profiles as this helps boost their impact and get the word out. If you don’t already follow us on Twitter or Facebook please do so now!

Making Christmas Happen

We still have a few slots where help is needed in our Christmas services and events. If you haven’t yet signed up to help with something over Christmas please visit www.ccweb.org.uk/signup where you can see a full list of help needed and volunteer. Go on – do it now! Thanks!

Saturday Lunch Runs

We are particularly in need of volunteers to prepare and deliver lunches for the homeless on 10th and 17th December. All are welcome to come and help, but if you have done this before, we particularly need you! Please sign up at online, at the InfoHub, or contact Val Moore for further information and to discuss arrangements.

Coming to a Carol Service on Sunday 18th December?

If you are planning to come to one of the Carol Services on Sunday 18th December please come to the 8pm service if at all possible. Last year we had to turn people away from the 5pm service, and we want to make sure there is space this year for all who want to come. The 8pm service is traditionally less busy so you will get a better seat. Please also note that these services are not suitable for younger children – sorry!
